Our Sunny Funny Tennis program focuses on the FUNdamentals of tennis, coaching kids aged 10

and under in an educational and exciting environment that enhances self-esteem, builds confidence

and overall love for the game. We focus on simple and fun teaching techniques, where we make

tennis fun and accessible on kid-sized courts with equipment right (lower bouncing balls, shorter

racquets) for your children. This new wave of tennis, helps kids learn the game with ease,

hit with success and rally faster.

MINI ACES

About the Class

This is a "get ready for tennis" class where the focus is on developing motor skills, athletic skills, tracking and hand-eye coordination. Children learn to trap, hit off the roll and volleys through interactive games. More importantly, it's about having FUN!


Class Details:

Age Group: 3 years old | Class duration: 30 minute classes
Ball type: Foam ball | Court size: 36 x 18 court
Racquet size: 17" | Coach-to-player ratio: 4:1
Goal: To develop basic skills of movement, catching, throwing and hitting

Skills check list for Mini Aces:

* Kick a ball
* Walk up and down stairs one foot at a time
* Bend over and touch the floor without falling
* Catch a rolled ball
* Can follow 2 step commands
* Recognize familiar objects
* Understand concept of "same" and "different"
* Understand concept of "mine" and "his/hers"
* Comfortable listening and following direction from adults who are not mom or dad

TINY ACES

About the Class

Players learn the basics of tennis through fun, interactive methods of teaching. Classes focus on developing basic athletic skills, tracking, hand-eye coordination as well as fundamental tennis skills through games. Children learn to hit off bounce and volleys through interactive drills and games.

Age Group: 4-5 years old | Class duration: 30 minute classes

Goal: To develop basic skills of movement, catching, throwing and hitting

Skills check list for Tiny Aces:

* Enrolled in preschool or any structured classes
* Can follow 2-3 directions without reminders
* Can run without falling
* Can jump and land on two feet without falling
* Hit, kick an object without falling
* Can roll ball towards a target
* Can catch a ball with two hands (ball size between tennis and soccer ball)
* Can get up from the floor with no hands
* Has participated in any other sports or physical activities

LITTLE ACES

About the Class

Players develop athletic skills that help them be better tennis players. In addition, players learn fundamental tennis skills including the basic strokes - groundstrokes and volleys, as well as overheads and drop-hit/feed. Classes focus on swing path fundamentals with each stroke through fun and interactive methods of teaching. Players also get introduced to scoring in a fun, cooperative and competitive environment.

* Walk on tip toes
* Hop on one foot
* Jump sideways without falling
* Can follow 3 step directions without reminders
* Can bounce a ball on the floor with hands
* Can get up from floor with no hands
* Has participated in any other sports or physical activities

Age Group: 5-6 years old | Class duration: 40 minute classes | Ball type:Red ball

Goal: To develop athletic skills, technical and game skills for the tennis environment

BIG ACES

About the Class

Players learn technical and tactical tennis skills, while continuously building athletic skills. Classes focus swing path fundamentals, classic grip and stroke development for the basic strokes learned in Little Aces and get to learn a new stroke - the serve. Players also learn how to keep score and rally in a fun, competitive environment.


Skills check list for Little Aces:

* Can throw a ball to a general target area
* Catch a ball on the move
* Can transfer body weight from one side to another
* Can work with a partner cooperatively towards a shared goal
* Able to be active for two minutes at a time
* Can follow 3 directions without reminders
* Has participated in any other sports or physical activities

Age Group: 7-9 years old | Class duration: 60 minute classes | Ball type:Orange ball
Court size: 60 x 21 court | Racquet size: 23" | Coach-to-player ratio: 6:1
Goal: To develop tennis-appropriate athletic, technical, game and competitive skills

SUPER ACES

About the Class

Players learn technical and tactical tennis skills, while building athletic skills. Classes focus on stroke development, classic grips, and swing path fundamentals. Players learn how to keep score and rally through game play in a fun, competitive environment.

* Can understand cognitive strategic sills, such as positions on a court and why
* Can throw a ball overhand

Age Group: 9-10 years old | Class duration: 60 minute classes | Ball type:Green ball
